This paper sketched the development profiles of calcium cyanamide fertilizer,elaborated the hydrolysis mechanism of calcium cyanamide,and the mechanisms of it as pesticidefertilizer,soil ameliorant and plant growth regulator.Also,the application researches of granular calcium cyanamide in horticultural crops and field crops were reviewed,and some suggestions on research directions and priority areas in the future were put forward.
