Effects of long-term chemical fertilizer application on soil organic carbon in double-cropping paddy fields

    摘要:

    施用化肥是提高水稻产量的重要措施,但长期施用化肥对稻田土壤有机碳(SOC)含量影响的认识不清晰。依托中国科学院桃源农业生态试验站稻田长期施肥定位试验,系统研究了不施肥、仅施N肥、施NP肥和施NPK肥处理的水稻产量和SOC含量的变化规律。结果表明,长期施用化肥可以提高水稻土SOC含量,而且平衡施肥处理(施NPK肥)的SOC含量处于相对最高水平;SOC含量的变化与每年水稻根茬残留量显著相关。因此,长期施用化肥对SOC含量的影响主要取决于产量效益,合理施肥获得高产的同时也会增加SOC含量。

    Abstract:

    The application of chemical fertilizers is an important measure to increase the rice yield,but the effect of long-term application of chemical fertilizers on the soil organic carbon(SOC) content of paddy soil is unclear.Based on the long-term fertilization experiment at the Taoyuan Agro-ecology Experimental Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,this paper systematically studied the changes in rice yields and SOC content of different treatments including no fertilization,only N fertilizer application,NP fertilizer application and NPK fertilizer application.The results showed that long-term application of chemical fertilizers increased the SOC content of paddy soil,and the SOC content of balanced fertilization treatment(NPK fertilizer application) was at the relatively highest level;the changes of SOC content was significantly related to the amount of rice stubble residue input in each year.Therefore,the effect of long-term application of chemical fertilizers on the content of SOC mainly depends on the yields benefit.Balanced fertilization will also increase the content of SOC while obtaining high yields.
