This paper reviews the study on phosphate dissolving microorganisms, their number and community structure in soils and plant rhizosphere. The capacity and mechanism of dissolving phosphate of different microorganisms is also discussed. Finally, it is generally described that the microorganisms may be beneficial to plant growth.
