Field experiments were conducted to study the effects of improving soil fertility and maize output by manure the maize straw with different returning ways to upland soil. The result showed that overturn and cover of the maize straw in soil could increase obviously the soil fertility and the maize output, but the difference of two application ways to upland soil was not significance.
