    Abstract:

    Evaluating the effect of organic fertilizer on the yield and quality of lettuce was of significant to provide theoretical and practical support for the green production and quality improvement of lettuce. In this study,we carried out a Meta analysis based on the studies reported in CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,Web of Science and other databases until April 20th 2020,using the terms “lettuce” and “organic fertilizer”. The data were extracted and analyzed to determine the comprehensive effect of organic fertilizer on the yield and quality of lettuce. The results indicated that application of organic fertilizer increased lettuce yield significantly,and improved the content of Vc,soluble protein and soluble sugar by 30%,20% and 18% respectively,while decreased nitrate content by 69%. It can be concluded that application of organic fertilizer can improve the soil environment,promote the growth and reproduction of microorganisms in the soil,accelerate the growth of plant roots and improve the nutrient absorption capacity,and then improve the yield and quality of lettuce.
