In order to help the sustainable development of traditional Chinese medicine and achieve the green development goal and policy of “reducing the amount of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and increasing the efficiency” in planting，micronutrient fertilisers have demonstrated significant advantages in promoting the increase in yield and quality of traditional Chinese medicine and enhancing the accumulation of medicinal ingredients，and have become the main force in promoting the sustainable development of traditional Chinese medicine. The micronutrients are involved in the metabolic activities of Chinese herbs，which are closely related to their growth，development and physiological mechanisms.Micronutrient fertilisers promote the accumulation of medicinal components，regulate the expression of genes related to metabolite synthesis，enhance plant resistance and improve soil physicochemical properties through a multi-channel，multi-level integrated mechanism，which further improves the yield and quality of herbs.In this paper，by combing the effects of micronutrient fertilisers on the yield and quality of traditional Chinese medicine and its mechanism，it provided scientific basis for the scientific application of fertilisers in the process of planting traditional Chinese medicine planting traditional Chinese medicine and guaranteeing the quality of herb cultivation.
